At Firefly, we think every day should be National Cabbage Day!
One of the oldest cultivated vegetables, cabbage is a powerhouse of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Cabbage is packed with vitamins B1, B5, B6, C, and K. It provides calcium for strong bones, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, and potassium for regulating the heart rate and blood pressure. In addition, cabbage is high in fiber and contains powerful antioxidants, including polyphenols and sulfur compounds. We are so grateful for this amazing vegetable! So many reasons to get your Firefly forkful!
